Money is a difficult topic to discuss. We are a society conditioned to believe that it is rude to talk about money, especially asking for it. Remove this from your thinking when calling a debtor about their overdue account. Be powerful, yet personable, in your conversations about money.

Be careful not to fill the space with unnecessary words. Phrases such as “when you think you might” are ambiguous and fail to install a sense of being in control of the conversation and the outcome you desire.

Whoever you are speaking to, you must be their equal. The right person making these calls is imperative to create a successful outcome. Life experience is required.
